Child's Development Theory

Every child is unique and he or she develops differently according to his or her milestone.
I believe that human being has different abilities to be exhume and explore.
So I like Howard Gardner 's Multiple Intelligences Theory (MI theory) which actually state that children have distinctive minds and personalities. Through MI theory, we can find out about learners and to teach and nurture them in ways that are appropriate, that they value, and—above all—that are effective. (Howard Gardner,2013)

Howard Gardner also suggested to educators that:
1.       Individualize teaching as much as possible. Instead of “one size fits all,” learn about each student, and teach each person in ways that they find comfortable and learn effectively.
2.        Pluralize teaching. Teach important materials in several ways, not just one (e.g. through stories, works of art, diagrams, role play).

On the other hand, I don't really agree with is John Locke's theory that seeing children as tabula rasa -- "Blank Slate" and they are to begin with nothing at all.  Instead I agree more to Jean Jacques Rousseau claimed that children are not blank slates and empty containers to be filled by adult instruction. Children are actually noble savages, naturally endowed with a sense of right and wrong and with an innate plan for orderly, healthy growth. Just like Howard Gardner's MI theory, I believe that children have some talents with them that are wait to be exhume and explore.
